In outlook express go to tools, options, click the read tab and at the bottom of the popup box click on Fonts, it will give you the options to change Fonts and font size, etc. Also you may have them look in the help section of thier OS and look up screen magnification-- this will magnify sections of the screen if they neeed to. It can be turned off and on fairly easy--just follow instructions.

Send them this response:
In Internet Explorer:
Go to the Menu Bar and select the View Menu then drop down to the text size option and pick a larger font size, the default is Medium.
If that doesn't help then you can change the type of font used to display the web pages you visit.
Go to the top Menu Bar and select the Tools Menu.
Click on the Internet Options button and a dialogue box will open.
Select the General Tab and go down to the bottom of the dialogue box.
Select the button Fonts (2nd from the left)
Then a new dialogue box will open. From this box select a larger Font like "Arial Black" or "Swiss721 BlkEt" Then close the dialogue box.
Then go to the Accessibility Button and open a third dialogue box. From here you can tell Internet Explorer to ignore the fonts specified on a web page. You can also click the Ignore Font sizes button.
If that still isn't large enough then you need the Magnifier.
Go to the START menu, select Programs, and select Accessories. Then select Accessibility where you can select the Magnifier.

When your typing the email to your slightly blind friend...and I don't know what email program your using so this is a bit hard to answer - you will see a box with 10 in it perhaps above where you type, click on that, and scroll down to 20 or something. If you've already typed the email..Highlight the text first, then change the font from 10 to 20 ..hope that helps..tell me what email program you use..and I'll take you through the steps more detailed if you wish.

Most email programs have an option to change the size. The recipient of your email can also boost the size of the type displayed on their computer.
