Weight loss, regardless of who you are, requires a cetain degree of willpower.
Stop eating junk food. Eat fruit instead.
Stop drinking soda. Make water your primary drink.
Join a sports team at school. That will give you the exercise you need. Don't worry if you suck, you are there for the cardio activity, not the letter.

Some cities do have an Overeaters Anonymous chapter. You might check to see if that's an option where you live. Do you think your parents would support your efforts to lose weight? If you have the money, Weight Watchers isn't too expensive and not only does it teach you how to get into better eating habits but it's also a great resource for support. There's no shame in joining a weight-loss group...everybody else in those groups are there for the same reason, whether they have to lose 5 or 50 pounds.
Another good resource for weight-loss information would be your regular doctor. He/she could help you plan a sensible diet and exercise plan that you could follow without too much difficulty.
Hope this helps! I've "been there, done that, bought the T-shirt".

That's too much weight to lose at once. If you cut back on the junk food and start getting more exercise, your body will start to look a whole lot better faster without having to starve off 40 pounds in three months. Start keeping a notebook with you and every time you eat something, write down what it was, how much it was, and why you ate it. That will help you become more aware of why you are eating too much and where your trouble spots are. Do not let yourself eat if you don't write it down, and that alone will help you eat less. If you find you eat while watching TV, quit watching TV and go for a walk or bike ride instead. If you need to snack, find fruit or vegetables to nibble on. Don't buy junk food. If you have to eat at a fast food place, order a salad, skip the fries, get grilled chicken instead of chicken nuggets...anything to make the meal healthier. Find ways to become more active...you don't have to join a gym. See if you can enlist a friend to get fit with you so you can do a workout video or go running together or something.

Eating disorders are common amoung many people. I found a website that covers many eating disorder problems. However, if you want a quick answer... the most likely kind of "eater" you are may be a compulsive or binge "eater". Compulsive eaters basically are under alot of stress (very normal for the age you are), emotional conflicts (also very common), or daily problems. These kinds of eating disorders are caused around childhood when eating patterns form. I recommend reading the entire site, if this helped narrow it down you can easy overcome this road block in your life. Edited Information: By deleting the compulisve from the link below, it will give you a much broader list.

If you cannot stop eating I would suggest that you keep small fruits like grapes handy so that you can keep popping them in your mouth! This will tell your stomach that something is there and you will not starve! I would suggest that you eat 6 small meals ( tiny portions of healthy food) !
Learning to eat healthy is one way to lose weight and another way to lose weight is to walk or ride a bike! Be as active as possible!
You are 15 and you should not be sitting in front of the tv. The more active you are the less likely you will think about food!
God bless and I hope that you can lose the weight that you desire!

try not to eat crap. Throw it out.Dont go where it is . Have nuts, non coated tortilla chips, air pooed corn or fruit on hand. If you can go 14 days without eating any junk, you are well on your way. It takes that long to develop a good or bad habit. Ask mom and dad not to buy it. Dont drink soda- diet or regular either. chew gum, drink juice or water instead. Pick up a hobby. If your watching tv, ride a stationary bike, walk in place.

If you have an eating disorder you need to get professional help. There are no dieting tips that will help you to overcome your eating disorder. Start by talking to your school psychologist. Keep in mind that your overeating may be a symptom of a different mental illness like depression. Be open to whatever the school psychologist may suggest.

Maybe you should try eating like fat free chips or sugar free cakes and things . I know sound gross but they arent have bad now a days . And they make just about everything fat free , carb free, sugar free. That way you wont miss the eating but it wont be so bad for you. That carb diet I heard it works well. But it takes away all the foods that fill you up and then you are always hungry.

try eating small meals each day instead and substitite it for healthier items such as fruit. Try going for walks as well and get exercise whenever you can. Good luck if it is that bad then you really need to see a doctor.
