Taking it out of the realm of geometry for a second. P-->Q means that if "P" is true it implies "Q" is true. For example, you are told that all SPLATTs [P] are brilliant [Q]. I am a SPLATT [P]. That implies that I am brilliant [Q].

Now to geometry. Let's say that you are told that all squares have 4 sides of equal (congruent) length. "P" (square), implies "Q" (sides have equal lengths).

If you are told that quadrilateral ABCD is a square, then side AB must be the same length as sides BC, CD and DA.

Notes about the above answer:

1. that's a SYLLOGISM. If A --> B and B-->C and C-->D, then A-->D.

2. All four go out, you don't cancel 'like terms'

Remove the like items. Example -
If Anita goes out, then Beth goes out
If Beth goes out, then Aisha goes out
If Aisha goes out, then Ramone goes out.

Assume all statements are true. Which two went out?
Anita and Ramone. How? Remove the like items. There are two Beth statements and two Aisha statements, therefore
Anita --->Ramone.
