oh my gosh are you serious? there are absolutely no pro's to suicide. the absolute main con to suicide is that you will go to hell. there is no forgiveness for that. think of the hurt that the family goes through when this happens. if your considering this please, please, please speak with a preacher, a counselor or please email me. i'd be more than happy to speak with you.

How sick are you? And no, I don't mean that to be offensive. I once had a friend in Las Vegas who found out that he was HIV positive and it really messed him up. He took his own life because he was afraid that he would somehow infect others with the virus. It was a shame what he did because he was a really cool guy. I don't think that suicide is the answer, maybe you should see a different doctor than you usually do, sometimes a new doctor will have a different view on your illness and offer you different ways to deal with it. No matter what, you do matter and make a difference to all those you know. I realize you are in a lot of pain, but just think about it before you do it. Because there is no turning back once you do. As for any pros, you would no longer have to pay taxes.

Are you talking about physician assisted suicide? If so I believe every human being has the right to choose a dignified death. When our time is over I think we know it on some instinctual level. The cons are that it takes a very emotionally advanced person to apply the wisdom and judgment necessary to make important decisions of this nature, and it is hard to find people who can make those kind of decisions. Thus, arbitrary rules set up can backfire for cases that do not fit neatly into a formula. Detractors will be waiting to pounce all over the first person to make a judgment call they do not agree with, and it is far easier to whip up an angry mob than to advocate common sense. All they need to do is smear the face of the offending physician across tabloids, calling him/ her "Dr Death" and the fight could be lost.

Ultimately, assisted suicide decisions rest in the hands of human beings, who will make mistakes. Are we at a place yet in society where we can allow others to make honest mistakes of that magnitude? I hope so, because I hope to be able to die with dignity one day. End of life care attitudes and decisions terrify me. I want better than that.

There was a news report the other evening that scientists believe they have found the chemical reason explaining why some people go all the way and kill themselves, why it runs in families, and why most of us just give it a fleeting thought when things get rough, but get over it. There may be more info about this on google search.

There are no pro's.
Do you expect someone who has done it to come back and answer you on that ?
I suggest you read some books that deal with Near Death Experiences ....i.e "Embraced by the Light" by Betty.J Eadie
Return From Tomorrow...Life After Life ........Some Melvin Morse Books etc and any subject that deals with Near Death Experiences .
Some people have been revived from suicide attempts and ALL said they immediatly regretted trying it, while they also encountered several spirits on their journey who had succeeded in their suicide attempt and had been eternally tormented by seeing those they loved here overcome by grief of what their actions had caused.
No it's not the way to go it will not solve a thing.

My thoughts are this, my Dear One. If someone finds life so painful or so abhorrent to live then they should have the right to end their suffering and move on to their next incarnation. God understands a great deal more than religious people want to think. Blessings. :)

There is nothing pro about suicide ever, it slays the people left behind, it etches horrid pain into their souls, minds, and hearts, you should not even entertain the thought, where there is life-there is always hope.Look at a rainbow, all the colors-- that's layers of God's love for you and all mankind. Can, you promise me you will not oft yourself. The Bible says God holds us in the palm of His Hand.I prayed for you will I typed.

Is there really a pro to suicide?

Suicide is a final selfish choice. You can't change your mind, you can't see how things would have improved, you can't comfort those who suffer because of what you did, you give God back the gift He gave you without even seeing how it really would have worked out. It is the worst and most selfish choice anyone can ever make! No up side! No pros.

There are no pros for suicide. What kind of sickness do you think this will spread to those who are unstable or depressed. Think of the effect of your words on others. Pray.
