I was watching television earlier today and it happened to be about The Day of the Dead. I went online to see if they celebrated in Puerto Rico and one site said it is celebrated all throughout Latin America but another site didn't even have it listed as a holiday in Puerto Rico. I want to know if they celebrate the holiday in Puerto Rico or do they have any holidays similar to it. If they do celebrate it, do they make calaveras or anything like that. Another question, are tortillas eaten in Puerto Rico. I know tortillas can be made from maiz and I think they grow that in Puerto Rico and I also know that it was the indians who make tortillas and Puerto Rico have the tainos. Are there any types of tortillas made in Puerto Rico. Puerto Ricans, please answer (but anyone can answer if they have an answer).

There is All Saints Day, but it's not a celebration like the one's in Mexico and or Latin America. The tortillas are from Mexico but in Puerto Rico they call tortilla to the egg omelette. The tamales are different, they resemble more the "pasteles" from Puerto Rico. Careful with the "pasteles" in other countries pasteles are bakery!!

November 1st is sometimes called the day of the dead (dia de los muertos) but officially it's all saints day. In Mexico it's November 2nd.
Nope, sorry, no tortillas in Puerto Rico. How about a nice empanadilla?

Some celebrate it, November 2nd....But I guess it's just old people that celebrate it...In my case, my family never celebrates it but people tend to visit the cementeries more on that day....and about tortillas, here we make them but they're omelets, they're made out of eggs, not corn...guanimes are made of corn..but they compare more to tamales than to tortilla I think.

if your lady buddy is a authorized U.S. eternal resident, she will adventure to Puerto Rico with purely a image I.D. She is, for sure, required by way of law to place across her green card constantly...and which may well be used as her image I.D. she will adventure freely in any area of the U.S. and its territories, corresponding to you will.
