No. No matter what kind of Muslim he claims to be, It could get dangerous because of the fact that they don't believe in the new testament. And there are certain passages of the Old testament that mention stoning false religions...
And as an example, show me at least one single country with a muslim leader of any kind, that is "peaceful". THEN I will reconsider.

Religion makes no difference. Christian Americans are by no means peaceful, ask Bush. Qu'ran talks about killing infidels? Bible does too: Stone cheating wives? All monotheistic religions believe they should be above the other one. They are better, more pure and therefore will kill and destroy to stay! I don't think it matters what religion the president is, the channels he must travel to get into office will taint and corrupt him just as completely as those before him.

I would have to know what his or her political beliefs were and where he or she stood on the war & peace issue. Then I would need to know which party he or she embraced. Third I would have to know this man or woman's history on telling the truth. If all of the above fit with my beliefs I was say "Yes" I would vote for a Muslim.

I want a president that puts our people and out country first. Not one that is out to steal everything they can and put themselves first. I would vote for a Muslim benevolent dictator for life if he cares about the people and our country. Our people and our diversity are the strength of our nation. Honesty a must, Intelligence a plus.

I don't want to know about my president's religion. Someone's religion has absolutely no place in how they perform his/her duties to the people of this country.
We all have different beliefs and reserve the right to hold them. However, if a Christian is unavailable on Sundays, a Jew on (Saturday evenings?) or a Muslim five times a day due to prayer then that person should not be in a position of power b/c the president yields certain privelages - such as organized prayer time - in order to lead this country properly. The president can pray on his/her own time unless he/she is not needed to perform.

If the person showed in their past that they actually followed the teachings of the Qu'Ran, I absolutely would! The Qu'Ran teaches peace. The Qu'Ran teaches the same principles as the Bible. Muslims worship the same God as Christians do...even believing in the divinity of Jesus and His virgin birth! Only ignorant fools think that Islam is a violent religion. All it takes is a willingness to know truth to see that this is true. Unfortunately, most conservatives and anyone that thinks that Islam is a violent, evil religion simply refuse to know the truth. They refuse to actually read the texts. They refuse to talk to a real Muslim. Today's conservatives hate truth in all of it's forms.

Sure I would if his intentions and views were right. WHY would his religion matter? Everyone who said no based on what the media tells them to believe needs to get a mind of their own.

I dont like to judge peaple but, i would feel better if he was of my own religion. Then again it does depend on the person. looking at the past it wouldnt be a smart thing to do.

Islam teaches to slit the throat of the infidel (anyone that is NOT a muslim) So ummmmm, why not! Who doesn't want their throat slit every once in awhile!
No such thing as a peacefull Islam, they are brainwashed and want to kill us, they have no truth and certainly no real faith, they have a belief, but not faith.
