NPR is not upset that gas prices are slowly and temporarily dropping. What was really reported for all of you fascist rightys that refuse to hear truth or tell truth, was that the oil companies keep doing this little trick where they lower the prices a little bit, then raise them a lot, then lower them a little, then raise them alot...all while making world record profits! No corporation in the history of the world, even adjusting for inflation, has made over $100 billion in profits in a single year like Exxon did last year. The interesting thing is, if you placed Exxon's profits where they were before Bush usurped the presidency, and redistributed the money to the pump, the price of gas right now would be about $1.28/gallon!

Hey, if they would drill for oil off California and Florida say, 50 miles out, where they cant been seen from shore, that way, for each barrel of oil we get, that would mean less imports.

Look people, there is lots of oil in the USA and by producing it, cutting back on imports and pushing alternative fuels, we can beat this mess. Its gonna take everyone working together.

Problem is all the liberal tree hugger don't want it and they help drive the price of oil up. If Iran or one of those middle eastern countries rattles their sabers, the price goes up. If OPEC gets a wild hair and cuts back production, the price goes up.

People need to understand, that the price per barrel is what the oil companies pay to get the oil, then they still have to refine it before it goes into your tank. This price can be controlled by OPEC or the speculators in oil futures.

While oil companies are making more money than in the past, they also paying out more money than in the past to by this high dollar oil to process and put in our tanks. They also paying more for drilling, parts, and other support items needed to keep pumping oil.

The price can come down, but not depending on foreign oil producers to bring it down is the smart move. Lets produce what we have in the ground and let others buy that high dollar oil.

the priority with extreme gas costs is that gas isn't the only gas created from oil. Diesel gas and heating oil are additionally created from oil. Diesel is already greater costly than gas, and transportation expenditures are pondered in almost each thing we purchase. Heating our properties isn't a luxurious. we can't practice our thank you to a cushty residences. If we don't get moving on decision fuels we will would desire to grow to be like migratory birds: South interior the iciness and north interior the summertime. Then the slogan would be "provide up speaking and shop strolling." i admire yours better. :) I study an exciting piece approximately image voltaic means. a enterprise is coming up image voltaic technologies that may not require silicon panels. that is painted on properties. i don't understand how that is meant to artwork.

Provide a link please. I listen to NPR all the time, and believe me, they are thrilled that prices are dropping.

If you're referring to comments on the likelihood that prices will go back up after the elections, then it's not just NPR that thinks that. Everyone with a brain thinks that.

Sure... it encourages conservation... everyone should buy a bicycle. On the other hand, if you are a conservative, you can enjoy the seasonally low prices. And drill for oil on our own lands to reduce dependence on foreign resources.
