Really dumb question, but 9 times out of ten, the windows volume control feature is the problem. If you have them plugged in to a sound card port (usually green on the back of newer PC's), and the transformer to give them power is plugged in, AND the power button is on to the speakers, make sure that in the volume control software in windows, it is not muted with the mute checkbox, or the volume slidebars all the way to the bottom. If everything looks good there, you probably have a sound card issue.
PS: check the volume controls by clicking Start, Programs, Accessories, entertainment, and volume control in Windows. Good Luck!

Could be a hardware problem. If you have formatted or fixed your hard drive yourself, you may need a driver for the sound card. Try plugging your speakers to another source and see if it works. Best if you try to reinstall your soundcard

depends is your sound card on board or in a card slot? you can look for drivers on-line? but first check your software and make sure its not turned downed or muted. Can you see a speaker icon in your bottom tool bar if so double click it and see where the volume is and if anything is muted. hope this helps

You need an Audio CODEX. This normally comes on a CD with the sound card.
Check Control Panel. The one I have on my computer is "CMI Audio Config." If it is there, you can run a test. You can also set a number of parameters.

contact your manufacturer, you may need drivers, or new speakers, or it could be a lot of different things.
