I am 5 days late for my period and I have all these symptoms:
Spotting
Headache
Missed period
Crampy
Tender/swollen breasts (HEAVY too)
Nausea/vomiting
Extreme fatigue
light headed.

Anyways, I took a pregnancy test (we are trying to get pregnant by the way) and it said negative but I didn't take it first thing in the morning. I plan on testing again, but can ANYTHING else be going on that can cause the able BESIDES pregnancy.

I am going to take a test first thing in the morning and if it still comes negative I am going to the clinic in the city to see what is going on, but I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas that can ease my mind a little until I can see a doctor tomorrow.

Thanks,
Belinda

Spotting is more like a little pink to day and on last Saturday and Sunday when I wiped. But thanks for the advice, it is helpful! Off to bed, good night all!

We are trying to get pregnant because my fiance and I want another baby. Our daughter is 20 months old and I want my children to be close in age. Why else would someone be trying to get pregnant??

Stress can cause that. I do that have done it twice in a year. Was over 2 weeks late and went to the doctor. I was told it was stress related. Maybe yours is too. I have had two kids and I felt just like I was PG..

A little advice, Belinda, get some rest tonight. It's not going to make it get any better if you worry about it overnight.

Pregnancy tests can be inaccurate early in the pregnancy. A negative now doesn't mean anything except maybe you don't have enough of the pregnancy hormone to show up in the test yet. Sounds like you may be pregnant but it could just be a late period and/or a stomach flu. I'd suggest going to the clinic and having a blood test...they are much more accurate than the urine test, even when you take one at the doctor's office.

Good luck in your efforts to conceive!

5 days late isn't too much for a test to come out negative when in fact it should be positive. Stress can do the same thing to you as well though. Also, if you are spotting, that could mean a late conception- but still a conception. You may be experiencing an abnormal period from stress, take another first response type test in the morning then see a doctor as well because of the spotting

You sound pregnant, I took a pregnany test when I thought I was pregnant with my second daughter, and it said negative, but that was only cause I took it too soon. Go to your doctor, they can do a blood test (its more accurate)

You're psyching yourself up to be pregnant and as such making yourself think you have these issues (or even giving them to yourself).

Plus, all of those symptoms are also PMS.

Could you have a touch of the flu?

(Actually, you pretty much sound pregnant to me.)
