im looking for a filter which is small but effective and not too expensive. a small filter is really important to me and i perfer internal. please recommend some filters for me.

Wisper makes one that hangs off the inside of the back of a tank.
It's about 13 dollars, and your tank will have to be full.

Pen plax also make a submersible filter called a Cascade, don't remember the price.

My favorite is the Dueto submersible they come in different sizes, I think the start at 25 dollars.

T rex makes a submersible that runs for 25 dollars, it is really good for turtles.

What are you going to use it for?

Don't ever get an undergravel filter, especially if its for a reptile, which I would assume this is for since its in the reptile section.

I have a Fluval plus that I use for my turtle tank. Its both easy to hide and clean and doesn't cost very much.

the best one you can get which is not too expensive is a under gravel filter, or even a corner filter with that
