Okay, the dress is the most important. I think that fall colors are really nice for homecoming. You should go to Dillards, kaufmanns, saks, macys, jcpenny, deb, and any other dress shop you like and try them on. the one that looks good on you is the best look. Make your own style, if you follow it, it will look great. Then I think that you should plan hair accordinly to the dress. If it has a really pretty top, then pull your hair back. If you dont like all your hair up, leave half down. If you cant afford getting hair done, try having a friend do it for you. Maybe mom. Or look up beauty schools in your area. they have 10-15 dollar updos that look good. Have fun!

Get an 80's style formal. That is the style that is in right now but make sure that your dress is not a light color. Dark blue, red, black, silver, dark green or dark purple. Save the pastels for prom. If the dress is short use a ballet flat that is dressy or a pump with a small heel. Remember long dress strappy heels short dress short shoes. You don't want to wear high heels with something a few inches above your knee it's kinda slutty looking. Also for homecoming make sure that your dress has some type of shimmer or sequin to it. An angry, challenging stare is always a favorite look for homecoming. Another popular look is an exaggerated pout while wriggling your hips at high speed. Or you might want to try the Britanny Spears/Jessica Simpson look of "I don't even understand that I don't understand" while flapping your elbows like a chicken trying to fly.

Hair thats crimped or straight with sparkly clips in it, bangs for sure.
strappy dress, black or HOT pink. or both.

hair.......up with strands pulled down around face and curled & the ends curled thats pulled up.
dress.....strapless & ankle length with high heel shoes
