Hi there...I would have to agree with Rick's answer. The current latest third-party software is quite memory intensive and more geared towards the G4 processor as well. Consider opting for a used G4 iBook or Powerbook, which should be fine to use for another year.

Hello lj89,

I wouldn't recommend that. The G3 Macs are basically abandoned technology and certainly aren't worth $300. Apple has even abandoned their G5s to go with the Intel processors. It won't be long before you won't be able to find anything to run on that.

There are a couple of good Macintosh dealers in Sacramento (if that's where you live). Go there and check out what's there and how much it's going for. Also there's a good and active Macintosh Users Group there. Attend some meetings and you might be able to get more information about it, and you might even get a better deal on something a little newer.

Do you think that it might be better to continue to save your money and get a slightly better MacBook or MacBook Pro later on down the road? Best of luck to you. I love my PowerMac, so I know where you're coming from. ;-)

It quite relies upon on despite in case you like Mac OS X (and Apple products frequently) or no longer. in case you like Apple products / Mac OS X and you have the money for it, get the white Macbook. it extremely is the main inexpensive and could be effective for usual use. the costlier Macbooks are necessary given which you're a expert image dressmaker or video editor. The Macbook Airs are thoroughly ineffective (skinny yet nevertheless very great, nevertheless heavy, no opticalcontinual, rather costly, worse battery existence than different Macbooks).

Sounds like a good one. You might want to take a friend along who knows MACs to check it out, before you buy it - caz you can never return stuff you buy on craigslist and you will not have a warranty from Apple
