If it was a serious question like [I was raped] I'd understand, but to stupid dumb questions like [what should I wear to school tomorrow] why do people write a whole essay? Most people don't [I do] read the long answers. They just look for the short simple meaningful ones. I'm not saying don't write long answers it's just kinda sad, if you waste five min [or however long it takes u to type it] of ur life typing a long answer to a question if u don't get picked as a best answer. Sorry guys I'm just really bored. I'll shut up now.♥ ♫♪Give me a home among the gum trees, with lots of plum trees, a crock or two, a kangaroo, a clothes line out the back,verandah out the front and an old rocking chair!♫♪

well i think it goes like this, if the question is long (like yours) a short answer is more suitable, but a general, short question requires a long elaboration in order to earn the five points.

5 points could change a person's life. or at least on a shorter scale, put you at level 2. AND the whole point of some people hanging around Yahoo answers is to earn points (competitve ones).

Therefore, a long answer 70% of the time will get you that "best answer" needed to quicken one's pace toward reaching their desired point status. Thank you and good night. =}

Well,i am unsure about what you think but,i have found that there are quite a few(When looked for...) decent questions looking for accurate answers.If it takes two paragraphs to answer a question accurately,so be it.If it takes two sentences or even one sentence for that matter to answer a question accurately,so be it.It doesnt matter the length of an answer but the quality of it.If it is a good answer it doesnt matter the length.If it is a bad answer and something that is simply typed to be rude it doesnt matter the length in that case either,just means that the person has no life.Some,believe it or not actually do try to answer questions seriously,and are here not for points but to help people answer a question they may have seriously.Have a good day.

Ever thought that the people who type out longer answers actually KNOW what they're talking about?

If someone asks about a horse that is colicing, I would give a lengthy description because I have had first hand experience.

I'd be uber pissed if someone just wrote (In chatspeak, like you), "go 2 da vet".

They need to be shot for lack of grammar and spelling. :)

Rahul Dravid is a great cricketer and he merits to be interior the Indian attempt team. in spite of if, issues have been going extremely undesirable for him for somewhat it gradual now and likewise the controversy of retirement with the aid of others fairly than gamers themselves is making concerns worse for him. i think of, he will and could preserve his place interior the facet. yet, as you know approximately Rahul Dravid, he could spring in a ask your self whether he is going directly to have an incredible series. He could announce his retirement asserting the cliched communicate "Its greater effective that human beings ask WHY fairly than while". i wish he does properly and continues to be in India's scheme of issues for an prolonged time.

They want to show you how smart they are. And everyone knows, long answers = a smart person. Even if they can't spell a lick. Even if they don't know jack about sentence structure. Ha ha, ha ha, ha ha.
