Wow that's what Alex said in "A Clockwork Orange". He ended up getting arrested and having an experiment done on him. But in the end he was cured and he was offered a cushy job in the government. So I don't really know what the moral was.

Glad you think so.
The Soviet Union tried that, and what did it get them? Lines miles long for products that didn't exist, shortages of everything except military equipment, and a nation full of alcoholics.
Without some form of money with an accepted intrinsic value, there is no mechanism for determining what products people want or need, or how to exchange your products for mine. The pressures of the marketplace use money to provide information regarding which products are desirable.

This is not the USA 100+ years ago when you could live off your land and be free.
Corporations in the early 1900s and late 1800s lobbied Congress to create laws forcing ppl to pay property taxes etc... in order to force them to find jobs. (referring to the ones that lived in remote areas that lived off their land)
This was a highly successful movement and helped spawn the industrial age BUT at a cost.... part of the idea of America 'the land of the free' was lost forever. For are you truly free, if you must pay the government every year for land which is already yours?

How about this? Let's all get paid a living wage instead or have the cost of living kept down, and the housing so that people can afford to survive.
Or do you like the entire nation living on borrowed money? Isn't it nice how our government let's credit card companies make the rules with no restriction? Or haven't you noticed the US public is experiencing a legalized mafia shake-down permitted by your government?

That isn't all that far from the republican way of thinking. They think " why should we pay for stuff? Being in debt hurts noone"

There's no reason, unless you need money.
Anyway, that's what I think.
But if you get any good answers, please forward them to me.
Thanks and good luck!
