Bill Clinton presided over one of the greatest economic times in our nation. Balanced budgets, high poll ratings, world admiration.
Shouldn't we have a naval ship named after President Clinton?

I will cringe when that happens. But it probably will. Perhaps a submarine? It will go down on you...
PS: USS RONALD REAGAN is an aircraft carrier, CVN-76
USS JIMMY CARTER is a submarine, SSN-23
USS GEORGE H. W. BUSH is an aircraft carrier presently under construction, CVN-77
These latter two both made me cringe.

First of all, I agree--Naval ships should be named after our great leaders. But, the Clinton? The clitoris would be a better name for a ship 'honoring' his presidency. I personally would prefer "IMPEACHED RAPIST" donning our ship in lieu of his name.
Secondly--Clinton fighting terrorists?
How bout the Ronald Reagan instead? An honorable man who won the cold war? Yep! Much better!

No, why should he be memorialized with a Navy ship when he was the WORST commander and Chief the military ever had. We could call it the USS Titanic

That is a good idea. Think of how many voters picked on him while he was in office. Now the voters are picking on Bush. What is it with our Loyalty in regards to our Presidents of this Great Country ??? They are damned if they do and damned if they don't . Stop picking on our Great Leaders and build up their confidence, instead of tearing it down . They word for us Americans is LOYALTY !!!
