why is this a basketball question?
no- a 14 year old does not need a boyfriend/ girlfriend.
neither does a 15, 16 or 17 year old. Start dating when you are 18, and even that is questionable.
make your own life for now, define yourself and set some priorities, study hard and have fun with friends. There is no need to complicate things so early in life.

Ya i think that is ok as long as you really like that person and you have those feelings. I had a boyfriend when i was 12 but we did not do any thing in was more of a friends thing..lol

i think its alright unless it gets a lil 2 serious just remember your only 14, but yes its fine to have a bf at 14. good luck with your situation though

Well, this question shouldn't be under the category basketball.
If the girl is mature enough, then she can have a boyfriend. Note though, that most teenagers aren't mature enough.

sure i was 14 whe i met my husband got married at 16 he was 17 we had our son at 19/20 and 27 years later we are still married
