I thought that the premise of the show (nuclear war) gives lots of "food for thought" especially in these day and times when nuclear proliferation seems to be a bone of contention between nations. I especially like the treatment which focuses on the impact to everyday people. The closing scene shows the beginnings of environmental ramifications such a disaster would bring. Perfect ending to a season opener. Kudos to the network for bringing to the fore an issue jam packed with relevant issues that affect not only America but the world at large. I'm hooked.

I think a season premier like that should be at least two hours long, in order to answer more questions. I think it might be one of my faves, but i need to see another episode or two.

Yeah, I'm intrigued by Jake. Where was he for 5 years? Why won't his father let him have the money? What did he want the money for? I guess the money's a moot point now that half the world's been blown up.

I really liked it, I don't know why but, the prospect of a post-apocolyps theme always makes me interested. It's like a car wreck or somthing, it horrible and gruesome and you know you should turn away but, your eyes are glued to the scene!!!
