Igor Sikorsky from Russia is considered to be the "father" of helicopters not because he invented the first. He is called that because he invented the first successful helicopter, upon which future designs were based.
Also,British chemist, John Newlands had the idea of arranging chemical elements in order of their relative atomic masses and he arranged his elements in columns. However, Russian chemist, Dmitri Mendeleev greatly improved on Newlands' idea and convinced other chemists to use it, so Mendeleev has been credited with the invention of the periodic table. Dmitri Mendeleev came up with his first version of the periodic table in 1864, since then more than 700 versions of the table have been proposed.

Vladimir K Zworykin is from U.S.S.R.. He is an electronics engineer/inventor, father of TV!
-----------------------
From 1947, Academician Sergei Pavlovich Korolev (a Russian) directed the design of rockets in the USSR which led to the launch of Sputnik-1, the first artificial earth satellite, on 4 October 1957. He was responsible for directing the development of many more recent rockets. Rocket technology is essential for the launching of artificial earth satellites which play a very important part in modern telecommunications. Korolev also directed the development of a number of satellites including the Molniya-1 series of telecommunications satellites.
-----------------------
A talented inventor in the USSR, Semjon Ivanov, worked on eliminating the need for special glasses and developed a system of raster 3D motion pictures, which could be viewed without them. The only 3D movie theater in the world based on his system was constructed in Moscow in the 1941. In this theater the 3x4 meters mirror-raster screen created a 3d film "stereo-zone" for each and everyone of the 200 seats. Several documentary and short feature films were shot and shown there with long lines at the box office. Nonetheless, this system had a different technical flaw which was also a major inconvenience for viewers – the audience had to sit motionless in stereo-zones while watching these films. Ivanov's attempts to solve this problem were cut short by his death.

They say the Russians invented Baseball..They called it Lapta
Russians would divide into teams of five to ten players on a natural field. One player would throw a ball toward a member of the other side, who would try to hit it with a lapta stick and then run to the opposite side and back before the thrower's team could retrieve the ball and hit him with it. "Games resembling lapta, such as cricket and baseball, also exist in a number of foreign countries," notes an old Soviet encyclopedia.

Hi!
The first ice-breaker(boat) in 1864, probably to cross lake Baikal.
You should take everybody's suggestions and do a little research so you can say it in your own words.
Somebody once said that it's not as important to know the answer to something as to know where to find it. So, you're halfway there.
We all did half your work, you do the other half.
Good Luck!
