Try looking at the National Air and Space Museum's Website, or if you live near Washington, DC, you could go to the National Air and Space Museum. The last time I was there, they had a section of the International Space Station that you could walk through and look at and it had a bathroom that had what looked like the hose attatchment to a vacuum so...I'm gonna guess that that has something to do with it...

They sit on a potty that is a vacuum cleaner and strap themselves into the seat so they don't float away while taking care of business. Really.
Then the waste is recycled. The portions that can't be recycled are dried and sealed in a vacuum sealed bag for disposal on return to earth.
It is the next generation in potty training.

The space toilet is basically a vacuum cleaner. Since there is no gravity, your do your business into the mouth of a wide vacuum cleaner and it sucks everything away. Yuk.

This is the most asked question of NASA and they have quite a bit of information on their web site.

I think it adopts the same concept as in the airplane, a vacuum suction toilet.

It has a vaccum which pulls waste down. When they are done the hit a button and it seals it in an airtight container.
