You know your friends are really not your friend if :
They have parties and don't invite you.
Or they have functions and your not invited.
They only come around when they need or want something.
They make you do all their dirty work and let you take the fall for it.
They talk about you about behind your back or in your face.
They say really mean or lousy things to you.
They don't help you feel good about yourself.
If you find out from others that they've talked about you.
They're not sincere, or seem dis-interested or are being a jerk to you.
They take pleasure off of your demise (seeing you embarrassed, played out, or made fun of)
Anything that goes against what you as a friend would do to someone else.

Your real friends are those that stick around, when the rest of the world is walking out. They are the ones that are there through good and bad, respect your point of view and do not talk behind your back.
A true friend can sing you the song of your heart, when you have forgotten it...

When they don't do things they say they will (promise). When they aren't happy for you when they should be (wedding). When they talk nasty about you behind your back to other people. They just take take take, and never give back. There are many reasons. It always becomes most noticeable during an important time, like marriage, death, divorce... That's usually when you need them most, and when it's most unforgivable.

If they flake out on your plans if something better comes along, they're fake. Thats usually most common.
