I need to investigate the interaction of common drugs and foods. A little help would be appreciated.

one that is a big deal is grapefruit. there are lots of medications that say don't mix with grapefruit juice because it makes the med more active in the body, like an overdose. some antibiotics do not work if you drink alcohol with them. bone density med like fossamax, for women, cannot be taken with any food or liquid at all or it doesn't work. antidepressants and antianxiety meds if mixed with alcohol make you more drowsy.

Grapefruit is perhaps the worst for the scope and severity of interactions. There is a very large number of drug-food interactions. What exactly are you investigating?
