To be a vet you have to take a lot of really hard courses. You might not be able to do that, but you can still work with animals and be a vet's assistant or something like that. Of course, in the vet;s office, someone has to know how to type, don't they!

Why dont you go talk to a couple of the vets in your town and see what suggestions they have. I bet they would be happy to give you some advice. You might even be able to get a part-time job at a vets and see what it's like.

First, the college or university that you want to go to should have a disability office. If you have a verifiable disability (meaning that the state you live in or the Federal Government) and has declared you have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) you will be able to get some help from the disabilities office(s).

As far as what you want to take in college, you might want to try a careers class. that will help you by finding one to three careers that involve the things you enjoy with the things you are good at.

A college also should have a "How to study in college" class. I took that type of class in college and it helped me very much!

Good Luck and I hope that I could help.

The type of disability that you have should not stop you from attending college. You have the same rights as anyone else and it says so under section 504 of the ADA. The college HAS to make accommodations for you to give you the same opportunities as students that do not have a disability. No one has the right to look down upon you just because you happen to have a disability. You are still a person with person emotions just the same as everyone else. Right? Right!

You could train to be a vet.'s assistant or a vet.'s receptionist if you are so good at typing and keyboarding.

Good Luck
