Dad and I are going lake fishing Saturday morning. What size hook should we use for bluegill, perch, etc...or even catfish?

Thx for the advice but I'm not releasing ANY of the fish I catch.

Use #6 or # 8 for bluegill--short shank

Use # 1 or # 2 for small catfish. For larger catfish use 2/0 or 3/0

I wouldn't bother with small hooks. Large hooks make it easier to release fish. Small hooks give you a better chance to catch panfish but I would just go with large hooks to help you out once you have to release it.
