Above is a picture from a VGA camara. The resolution is 640/480
A digital camara is at least 2, if not 3 times better then that. A nice digital camara will be 4,5,6, or even 7 times better. A normal cell phone wont give you that good of a picture. If you take a picture with a VGA camara, and print it in normal picture size, it wont look great.
The following picture is taken by a 1.3 megapixle camara. A cheap digital camara is 3 megapixles. Many phones come with 1.3 megapixle camaras. A 1.3 megapixle camara is deffently good enough to put quality pictures on a normal peice of picture paper.
