In hindi and such beliefs... what do the number of arms mean?
'cause what's most important is what those arms hold... but the number must have a meaning, no?

well, without studying this subject...i believe one of the hindi gods, Shiba, has six arms, so it probably has something to do with being blessed by the gods...
