Yes, it could be an ulcer, but it could also be a number of other things, including:
Gallstones: particularly if the pain the right in the middle, and gets worse after eating greasy foods. This pain will sometimes radiate to your back, and can last just a little while or all day.
Bowel obstruction: Have you been going to the bathroom without a problem? If not, you should really be seen by a dr. soon -- because an obstruction is very serious.
If your stomach has hurt for this long, I think your mom should call the dr. sooner rather than later. Even an ulcer can be serious if it starts to bleed. Good luck!

It's possible to have an ulcer at 14. I'm a nurse now, but I had a slight one when I was 19. The tests aren't that bad. They have you drink a beverage that acts as a dye, and they take x-rays to see how your stomach condition is. But the dye has been much improved from the yucky stuff they used 30 yrs ago.
I hope you don't have any serious problem. If it is an ulcer, you'll probably just have to take some pills.
Best of luck!I'm really sorry you are going through this.

If you cant afford to go to the dr or if you still have the problem after going as in a stomach ulcer type problem, try milkweed, the freshest you can get. If you cant get any that's fresh, grow some and use the fresh pods, and probably using as much of the rest of the plant as possible is good, too.
Maybe it was caused by drinking sodas-curious if you are a soda drinker; if so I would stop drinking them if it's an ulcer or if you think it might be. Mango juice will probably help it feel better if it's an ulcer, though the sugar in it might not feel so good
Now I am guessing you might be having a vitamin A deficiency (contributing to or causing ulcer) . .. try increasing foods that contain vitamin A

First thing ....keep a good diet which means eat healty stuff as popaya, potato, lettuce and lot of fiber ....eat at the same time everyday and avoid food that gives gas, avoid soft drinks, and fry food , chew your food very slow and once in a while eat mint candies .also rest a little after each meal do not eat and get up right away also do not eat snacks or if you are really hungry eat a fruit as apple or oranges ...see after 3 days how you are feeling ...it could be many things as ulcers, indigestion, or parasites
having a good diet will not only help you with your pain, it will also will help with your weight etc

It could be an ulcer which will not show up on an x-ray. They have to do an endoscopy (stick a scope down your throat and take a peek). You also may have acid reflux. Try laying off sodas and any coffee or tea. If you do not start getting better soon then go get a scope by a Gastrointerologist (GI Doc).

There is something called "Celiac Disease"..I have it and it is not as rare as doctors thought 15 years ago,do a test with food,no flours,no fast food,it is just easiest to go on all vegetables and fish,no processed foods,if you keep a food diary maybe this could be the problem,do this diet and see if the stomach quits hurting,if not that, you could be "Lactose Intollerent"..you would do a diet for it by cutting out all diary products!Ask your doctor if you need more info on my thoughts!

It could be a stress thing try changing something that is stressful in you life. also try changing your diet it will do wonders, lay off the spicy foods, and the soda, they will hurt you more. you might also try NEXIUM that will also help. but that is a perscription there is an over the counter med called prilocet that will also help

Sounds like your mom might be right but only a Doctor can tell you. Try changing your diet. Eat more vegatables, stay away from caffene, chocolate, fatty foods anything with grease. see if that helps. watch what you eat and write it down. see if this helps. Also try tums, that might help a little.
Have you started your period yet?

I would definitely have your mom take you to the doctors right away. It may not be anything serious, but who wants to be in pain after they eat.
The only problems I ever had with my stomach was gall bladder stones which effected me every time I ate. I did have to have surgery, but it really was not that bad at all.
Good luck to you.
