Best college according to your own set of standards; doesn't have to reflect any rankings.

My favorite college is Johnson @ Cornell. But, the reason is it is local to me, it is well known and respected for the field/area of study that I am interested in, and it offers a fical support/work program for doctorates.

Think about what YOU want in a college, the degree that you want to earn, and the educational, and residential requirements of the State or country that you are interested in attending a college in.

It is impossible to answer this question without stating the differences between all colleges. There are too many colleges to decide!

Maybe if you gave us more details, we could provide a better answer.

However, my FAVORITE college is Boston College.

No, no rankings. If you are there to knuckle down and really learn then any college is OK, if you don't want to learn then it doesn't matter does it.

My favorite school is Boston University, where I am aspiring to attend next fall. I fell in love with this school because of its beautiful scenery, excellent acedemic programs, its diversity and its flexibilty in terms of declaring majors and such.
