A prediction or forecast is a statement or claim that a particular event will occur in the future.
A hypothesis (from Greek á½ÏÏθεÏιÏ) is a suggested explanation of a phenomenon or reasoned proposal suggesting a possible correlation between multiple phenomena. The term derives from the ancient Greek, hypotithenai meaning "to put under" or "to suppose". The scientific method requires that one can test a scientific hypothesis. Scientists generally base such hypotheses on previous observations or on extensions of scientific theories.

I would say a prediction is what you think without a conclusion, but a hypothesis has everything "mapped" out? Just my guess...
I predict ______ will happen today. My hypothesis about _____ is that first this will happen, then that will cause this to happen, etc.

A prediction is formulated from intuition. A hypothesis is formulated from logical reasoning. Either one could be true or false (flawed reasoning).
