I love the rides at Six Flags parks, mainly Six Flags Magic Mountain, because that is the one closest to me. Six Flags Magic Mountain is also the self-proclaimed "X-Treme" park due to its record-breaking firsts and AWESOME thrill rides...
But contrary to what its youthful, standard-less attendees say, many (note: I did not say ALL) Six Flags parks are crap. Yes, they have awesome rides, but that's pretty much it. Their parks lack upkeep and maintenance. The parks are aesthetically unpleasant. It is more of an amusement park than it is a theme (imagination, relevance to ideas...) park. Their attendance has dropped, and they really aren't making enough money to be able to keep the park open. They've even resorted to cheap 2 for 1 discounts for admission.
However, to make things clear for you, Six Flags Magic Mountain is not closing for sure. They are currently in the process of selling six of their parks, with Magic Mountain being one of them. Too bad it's the only Six Flags park in Southern California. Knott's Berry Farm just can't compare. Just hope that the buyer is a (amusement park) company that wants to keep the park whole....

Well they closed Six Flags Astroworld here in Houston. It was really sad Astroworld has been around for years. It was right by the Houston Astrodome and we heard that 6 Flags was offered a tremendous amount of money for the property so they didn't to close it. It's sad because a place as huge as Houston doesn't have an amusement park now.

Lightning is the biggest ingredient while it is composed of rides, enormously the taller ones. There may well be some rides that close because of severe rain because of the priority of electric powered ask your self, yet an incredible type of the rides use DC autos (fairly of AC), so ask your self is way less of a hazzard. My female pal and that i went to Darien Lake (ny, a former Six Flags park) on an afternoon that grew to become into misty lots of the time, and all the rides stayed open. the main incredible time while rides have been close down because of rain grew to become into on the ny state honest, in spite of if it grew to become into raining quite no longer trouble-free while that passed off. As constantly, we tend to maintain a watch on climate forecasts earlier going to amusement parks to shrink the possibility of the rides being closed. If there is greater suitable than a 50% threat of rain, there is an threat that some (or all) of the rides would be closed.

They can make more by selling the real estate than they can as an amusement park. The rides will be disassembled and sent to other 6 Flags parks around the country. The park will go to the highest bidder. So if another amusement park company can buy it then, it might be saved.

According to the investors section of their website it is being looked for closure at as one of four locations. It may have actually been saved from closure by the closing of Astroworld and a couple of other properties back east.
