It seems to me that he's trying to tell everyone about the corrupt world powers that we all know exist, yet can't do anything about. An overwhelming majority of Americans know that our government has been corrupt and doing wrong for decades? And our government isn't the only one, many superpowers seem to working in unison. One example. Bush invaded Iraq. Despite the moral idea behind shutting down Saddam, it was Illegal by international law. Yet our leaders went unpunished by the U.N. an administration specifically developed to prevent and make punishable such crimes. Make no mistake, I love my country, the greatest in human history, but I am apalled at our government and leadership over the years. Irans president, however the media spins him, asked a very valid and important question of us and the world. Who do the world leaders answer to? An intelligent person will take the time to read the transcript of his speech to the U.N. What do you think of what he says?

I am not muslim, I am baptist. But I think people really need to read what he says instead of listen to the parts the news companies want you to read. All I see is "Iran president is evil, wants america destroyed, making nuclear bombs." But I have not seen or heard any of this in what he says or other countries are saying about him.

I don't know if that works or not, but there it is. You might want to download it and open it in word because its so tightly word wrapped that it seem a mile long.

Come on people. I see very few people are actually paying attention to whats going on! How long can our country sustain itself under a leadership dishonesty and corruption, thats my real concern. Not that Ahmadinejad made a speech, but that things were brought to the table that everyone else is afraid to mention!

of course its what he wants us to hear, prfect american, thats the ******* point of the speech. It seems to me, friend, that the ones who are brainwashed are the ones with singular ideal that cannot be changed, no matter how much sense it might make.

I will be an unusual answerer to you I am sure, but I found him to be raising very legitimate questions and heard him refer to GOD, love, compassion, justice and dignity many many times in his speech. If people really listened to what he had to say about bombs, which he has been saying over and over, then they may realize that he is very against anyone having a bomb . He believes they serve no purpose exxcept to scare and threaten other countries. You are right about taking the time to read the script. There are many others and he has been very consistent in what he says( that he has in common with GWB). There was no moral idea behind saddam. It is for pure power and control in the Middle East . Since you are an intelligent person, here are some sights that may interest you. They have opened my eyes. It takes some time to review these things, but this is our future. This is what enables us to make more intelligent decisions. Thanks for people like you willing to look a little further.http://opposingdigits.com/vlog/?p=808, http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article3249.htm http://globalresearch.ca/articles/CHO301B.html http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7828123714384920696&sourceid=docidfeed&hl=undefined

Doesn't it seem odd to you, that you have taken from his speech, exactly what he wanted you to take from it.
We know there is corruption in government, all governments. He is saying what people are thinking, and that breaks down the walls around him.
It makes you like him.
Reciprocity.
He made you feel good about yourself, because he said things that you have always thought. And now people suddenly respond by saying they liked what he had to say.
Be careful my friend, you just had a little sample of brainwash. Don't forget, in the big scheme of things, the Muslim religion aims to destroy the infidels(you and me). Never take your eye off the ball. And quit believing the propaganda
Every politician does that. That is how they get you to like them.
Hitler did that, frequently. Made them poor sheeples feel like they were a part of something great, made them feel good. Irans president is much the same. Instead of dreams of the perfect white race, he has dreams of one Muslim world. He's psychotic.
Oh, and when we went into Iraq, it was legal. Iraq had been defying UN resolutions for several years, or did you forget? It might have been bad timing (in the publics point of view). But completely legal as far as the UN goes.
Also, I think Iran's president is groveling to the UN to get the US of it's back. If you get out a map, you will see that we have troops and supply lines on two sides of Iran, and probably enough Naval fie power in and aroud the Red Sea to keep Iran glowing well into the next millenia. Iran is trapped and they know it. Why do you think he is enlisting that wimp Castro and that **** Hugo Chavez to unite against the US? We are in a war, but many stupid Americans don't see, or refuse to see it. Open your eyes people.

I think it an eye opener because what we all think is happened is being said to be true and then all the Truth about what going on over sea is so real but so played downed to us Americans and I agree with him who can protect them if U.N isn't able to because of their involvement with everything and that kind of scary especially for the ones who are being killed and bombard on a days to day basic. I could keep going but I have to much to say about this in general so thanks for the link .

First, I think you need to re-examine your knowledge base.. you have presented some very inaccurate statements in here. You apparently remain ignorant of the fact; only congress can declare a war.. That was done. Bush couldn't arbitrarily start this without the consent of congress. It was never deemed to be illegal.. after 17 warnings to Saddam, and his ignoring them, there were consequences mentioned within those warnings. The consequences did take place.
As far as the speech, it is basically the same rhetoric as one would expect from someone who is doing everything in their power to play the delay game, while parlaying that time into completing their nuclear capability. He is still intent on eliminating Israel..

Well,I agree with you in theory but..
The spread of nuclear arms is what's at stake here.
And Ahmadinejad has said some rather whacky despotic things in the past few months. Some rather inciteful disturbing stuff.
He is playing hot and cold diplomacy with the U.S.
based on what he is saying daily to the press.
That alone,is enough to watch him with a sharp eye.

Squinch your eyes and pretend he is Mother Theresa (alive), and then see how you feel about what he said. Newspapers are editorializing him as a demon like crazy so it's hard to get a true picture. Maybe squinching will find him somewhere in the middle.

I read his speech. I think that he's after a sympathetic ear. Still, the statement that his nuclear program is transparent was an obvious lie. The IAEA is not allowed to inspect. The rest is probably just as true.

Iran wants us dead. Iran wants Israel dead. Iran tried to take over Iraq. Iran is sponsoring terrorists. I could go on but it is a wast of time. I do not agree with anything Bush says because he has no credibility with me but Iran has even less with me. So...I don't know what to believe any more but will support my country come hell or high water.
