Like a TV sitcom actor? Is this normal behavior?

No, but I know a woman who got furious that her kids liked me. I'm the step-Mom.

Probably a little jealous but not angry. It is a normal behavior just like kids having an idol who is good in sports, academics,etc. I bet they would just get angry if their 9-year old son is having a crush on another man like a TV sitcom actor. Now that's a different story.

When I was ...say 9 to 14,the 4 walls of my bedroom had nothing but pictures of The Beatles,and the Beach Boys on 1 side,Mickey Mantle,Johnny Roseboro,Koufax,Drysdale,and Whitey Ford on another,Football stars(Bart Starr,Jim Taylor,Jim Brown,etc, and the other was a combo of the Lakers,Jerry West ,Elgin Baylor, Wilt ,Marovich etc and hot chicks,So I thought my Dad was COOL too 'cause he fought the "Japs" in WWII.But you don't have pictures up that would be WEIRD.As long as the actor isn't some "gaylord" it's alright.I did have a big poster of John Wayne(Sands of Iwo Jima)on the wall.

I guess it depends on the dad. If the dad is a loser it's probably a good thing. If the dad is great then i'm sure his feelings would be hurt but shouldn't get angry about it. Do something about it , i'm sure that will change as he gets older he is only 9.

It is normal my son is 9 but I tell him that until spider, hulk, sponge bob or whoever else starts paying rent, buying clothes, washing and cooking for you I suggest you leave them on tv. I'm a mother and I don't care for it either nor did my dad or his dad.
