~No, you are not on the right track. You should be consulting your math book and/or your teacher, not some dolt like me on Yahoo Answers who is as likely as not going to give you a wrong answer and bum advice just so you will fail because you were too lazy to do your own work or to look to the appropriate resources for guidance.

do no longer positioned parenthesies on your 2d step, extremely of (36b-9) = (18b + 6) make it purely 36b - 9 = 18b + 6. then you definately prefer to get the numbers with the variable (as a result something with a 'b' on it) onto one part and the different selection on the different part... so upload 9 to the impressive part and subtract 18b kind the left part. it may appear as if this - 18b = 15. then you definately prefer to get the variable ("b") by itself, so which you divide the '15' by '18' to take the '18' removed from the 'b' - 18b/18 = 15/18. then your final step is to cut back. you are able to desire to have b = 15/18, so '3' is a numerous of the two 15 and 18, so divide them the two by '3' and you gets - 5/6. and your very final answer would be b = 5/6.

The bottom is almost right. z to the second is in the numerator and the n to the second is in the denominator. The 3/4 part is right.

You wouldn't put the - sign where you have it.

-6 z^5n^4
--------------
-8z^3n^6

3/4 z^2 n^(-2)

is one way

3z^2
---------
4n^2

is another.
