Hello, I was wondering if anyone has ever used proactive just on certain areas of their face? I am late 20s and have usually had pretty clear skin, lately though I have been getting pimple outbreaks on my chin and nose. A friend gave me proactive but I have read that it sometimes can make your face worse? I was wondeirng if anyone had used it and if I could just use it on my chin and nose, or (maybe just use a part of the system) on my chin and my nose and use with my normal Mary K Timewise 3 in one cleanser? Any advice or insight would be great. Thanks so much!!!

Thank you all for the great advice, I look forward to keep reading, and just so I clear up a part of my question, I am not using Mary K 3 in 1 with it, that is what I used prior to it, so I first posted, I was wondering if I should use the mary k and then maybe just the toner of proactive. But I see now it is best to use as a set. Thanks so much to you all!!! Keep the answers coming and I will let you know what I decide and how it goes. Thanks again!!! Have a great rest of the week.

Well i've been using proactive for about 3 yrs now. It is best to use proactive on the entire face instead of spot treating. It is best to do this because if you spot treat the chemicals used on your face would be unbalanced, causing you to break out in areas that were not broken out in. I have tried spot treating and i think its better to just do the enitre face because not only are you treating those certain areas, but you are also protecting the rest of your face from future outbreaks. When i did do spot treating, it wasnt really affective. Also, your MAry K cleanser is not necessary if you are using proactive. When using proactive, you can wear your usual makeup and everything, but i think if you use the mary k, it would too make everything unbalanced. Proactive includes a cleanser for the face.
All in all, i dont recommend spot treating because it leaves your face chemically unbalanced and could cause further outbreaks and if you do decide to use proactive all together, i encourage that you get the entire package, including the cleanser and get rid of the mary k.
Hope my advice helps.

I kno you said without products, but it is almost impossible without laser surgery and that costs even more. To prevent more acne, wash your face in the morning when you wake up with soap and water, and right before you go to bed, and don't sleep with make-up on. Cause's some acne at times. If you find that you want to use products, I use proactiv. I have used it ever since I was 10 and I have only gotten 3 little pimples. Works like a CHARM! I am sorry you asked for no products but it is almost impossible!!! Hope this helps you! Good Luck

I am 20+ and i used proactiv solution before..i recommend you use it as it is really works and effective. Before it, i used ZA cleanser and not yet finish i just gave it to my mum. I used to have some pimples on my cheeks but i applied proactiv all over my face. Preferably put 2 times daily. You must use the cleanser, toner and renewing lotion at a time. Recommended not to mix with other brand. OK.
Once in the morning after you wake up from bed and once at night before go to bed. You know, i noticed the different!
Once you woke up, you'll see how clear the skin it was. In the morning, it process in your skin and repair whilst you're sleeping.

It's amazing. So try it. Gud luck!

My wife tried it. It didn't do a damn thing for her. You have to suspicious of any product where it's primary method of distribution is to ship it to you direct every month unless you cancel. Sounds like they are more dependent on people being too lazy to cancel their membership than actually selling good product.

I always ask the same question. If it's so great, why can't I buy it in the store?

PROACTIVE SUCKS! Use Clean & Clear blemish treatment or something with like 2% salyic acid
