Wow! Well he needs counseling... and a wake up call. Sounds like he knows he has you and now isn't gonna do jack to keep you happy. UGH! How irritating! I can only imagine how you feel.
I really think you should make plans, maybe you and a girlfriend, go to a spa or whatever it is that would be fun and special for you. Or go it alone. I know.... that if you did either of those you would still have a empty feeling because it should be your husband with you. But I think it's time you let him know that just because he wants to sit around the house and do nothing, you're not, you are gonna go enjoy life, and if it means you have to do it alone or with your friends then. Well - do it.
I want to think that a few times of that and he will start to feel left out and a bit jealous and want to do things with you.

I just had my anniversary and I reminded him and he took me out to dinner, but in general, I'm furniture. What I've been doing lately, is buying myself flowers for the table and a new outfit... and though it's not from him... it makes me feel better.
Wish I could help more. Did you ever ask him why he wants you around? His answer might tell you if you should stick around for the next anniversary.

Make reservations somewhere, call a girlfriend and go have fun... No law says you have to spend an anniversary with someone who obviously doesn't want to do anything.
You are your own person... YOU choose to let him hurt your feelings... Its time YOU choose NOT to be hurt and live life happily ! : )

If you have innocent lives involved (children) leave for their mental sake. What they witness goes much deeper into who they become as adults. If no children are involved then get divorced and be happy. No one says you have to stay married to a pecker head and be miserable the rest of your life. That's not love.

The answer is simple. Don't celebrate it with him. Take yourself to the Day Spa and get pampered in celebration of being someone's spouse for however many years. Instead of aggravating yourself - give yourself a gift.
Valentine's Day was the same way for my husband and I until I started by my own elaborate gifts for myself. Then he realized it was cheaper to just get me flowers by himself. (smile)
