Palomino on Embarcadero. You get a good closeup view of the Bay bridge and the bay itself. Wonderful food and ambience.

At the end of Pier 39 down in the embarcadero there is a few fantastic resteraunts. For a more casual but amazing meal, Bubba Gumps Shrimp Company is really great. Right up the street from there is Little Italy where a place called the Stinking Rose is. Great Itallian food there. It's not exactly bay view but it's really good. Also there is a place called Top of the Mark that has live music and it is just wonderful.

Did you try Cityscape restaurant at the top of Hilton hotel in SF?
They have ceiling to floor windows and it provides great bay view as well as city view. Watching a sunset here is very romantic. The food is pretty good too and service is not too bad. During the weekend they have live music too and you can dance.

Another nice restaurant is Equinox Rooftop Restaurant at the Hyatt Regency hotel. Here, you don't have to order any meal. You can just order drinks and 360 rotation will give you a great view of the bay bridge to downtown SF.

Greens, at Fort Mason. Wonderful to sit there sipping wine and watching the sun set behind the Golden Gate Bridge. And the food is spectacular too.
