Hahahah! Good question, but who's going to give you a straight answer.

No matter what some students think, teachers aren't dummies. They know that some of their students cheat like crazy. How do they know? because, if a student turns in tough homework problems all done correctly, as if they were written by a math whiz, and then the same student can't even do the simple questions on the test, guess what!!!!

But maybe, a few of the kids who post questions here will actually think about the answers and learn something. We can always hope!!!!

Lol. TEACHERS are like parent's THEY KNOW ALL! Lol. A teacher can tell if you understood the problem yourself! So yeah if you just post ur question online and expect to just get an answer and fill it in, then your screwed... unless you get a full in depth explanation due to really NOT understanding the question. Then you can show your work and how you arrived at the answer... and when you do a pop quiz or a test, the teacher will DEFINITELY know if you did the work yourself. SO yeah I don't RECOMMEND just getting an answer.

I am sure there are many teachers here on Yahoo Answers, but none would be so lucky as to catch his/her student posting questions. Even if they did, they cannot restrict them in doing so. However, they can discourage them from doing so. Anyway, I strongly disapprove of students asking for answers to math problems here. I usually offer them hints, and lead them through, but never tell them the answer straightforward.

I asked a teacher that (not a math teacher, but she is a middle school teacher). She did not know about this category on Answers, but she figured if one of her students get his or her homework correct and does awful on the tests, that the student got the answer from somewhere else.

Probably not, unless if you have a picture that clearly identifies you, and your teacher uses Yahoo Answers often.

The teachers must know that when I answer those math questions here, I have no true mathematical kung fu. Sorry kids. It's true.

They'll figure it out when you fail the test or get every question on your homework wrong.

Not everyone on here gives the right answer. It's like Cliff Notes, sometimes those are wrong too.

no, if you don't use your real name and your avatar doesn't look close to how you look they won't suspect anything. and if they notice the problems you are asking for help look the same as the ones they assigned for homework they won't know it's you, and why would they be answering peoples homework questions? don't teachers dislike to give away answers? for the main thing i don't know if they know we do, but i do know they'll never catch us!

Unless you work it out for yourself, do you really know you're getting the right answer to the problem?
