I,m looking for some kind of research for my childs class. I know how to make squaw bread, but i wanted to tell the children the history. They are studying about the indians.

Are you talking about fry bread?

I've always heard that fry bread was invented as a means of using the commodities that were given to the Indians when they were dumped onto reservations. They were able to turn less than basic supplies into a bread that was tasty and palatable and still eaten today.
