Know something. I took another chance at getting hurt twice. The first time I took a chance, I ended up with my husband whom I loved with all my heart until his death....which I thought I would never recover from.
I was all set to become the crazy widow lady with all the cats you hear about. No way did I want to go through that type of grief again.
But, I met a guy who knocked my socks off....and after a lot of soul searching, and a lot of praying, I decided that 20 years down the road I don't want to look back and say "What If...."
So I took another chance, and accepted what God seemed to be offering.
I have a person in my life now, with whom I can laugh, and share things with....and I am not lonely and alone.
I have love in my life.
And that is wonderful.

Well right now I'm with a good man. We've been together for over 20 years. You know I often wonder if anything ever happened to him. What would I do? I really think I'd rather be alone. I can't imagine loving anyone as much as I love him.

I would take a chance at getting hurt again. It is better to be happy for a while than to live you life in fear.

I would take another chance, perhaps I might be lucky this time... that I will find the right one. If not, at least i'm learning my lesson and i know sooner or later things will be going on my way.

I would rather take a chance-albeit, after being alone for the amount of time to getting BACK to me. If you get my drift.
I mean, after a period of time with being with someone and then without, you just can't jump right in there. You have to take your time. Get to get reaquainted with yourself again. Then, go back out on the dating scene.

I took my chance at getting hurt, and I'm glad I did. I have 5 beautiful kids for taking such a chance. It's worth it I think.
