The crew was about to organize a mutiny
They haven't seen land in months, no hopes for no one,

Not so happy feelings when you can't do nothing but wait

~Sixteen of them were horney and in dire need of women. Twelve were gay and had that covered. Nine were all but dead from the DT's and were looking to go ashore to set up a still. Five didn't much give a darn because as long as they were at sea, the arrests waiting for them at home couldn't catch up with them. Forty-two were imbiciles and didn't really know where they were or what they were doing. As to the rest, you'll have to read the logs, diaries and other accounts.

They didn't find America. He did not land on the U.S. mainland. He landed on an island in the Caribbean. While many believe he landed on San Salvador, there is still debate on which island he originally landed on.
