I would say yes. When my sister & her hubby went to the breeder to purchased a puppy, I tagged along. I held and played with the pup while they filled out the paperwork. On the way home, my sister held the pup. Then, at their house, we all played with her and watched her discover the back yard, and the POOL! She received a quick baptism; we dried her off, then I left.
A month later, I visited and she went bezerk with excitement. It's been that way ever since (almost 3 years). My sister says that she only acts that way with them and me - everyone else is "ok, hello". So, she remembered that first day, so I would say that your dog will remember you for a long time.
Leave a dirty sock of your ex-spouse with the dog, and that will probably help the dog to not "miss" him so much and make the transition easier. Toys from her former home will help - smells, toys, similar diet, sounds (record his voice?/music he listened to?). There will be some psychological effects on her. Just be patient, and if things begin to get out of hand, talk with your veternarian.
Good Luck!

So long as she has a sense of smell, she'll remember you forever. I had a puppy that I had to give away before it was 6 mos old. I finally caught up with the lady I gave her to 5 years later. Can you believe my puppy, all grown up now, plus not too social, cuz she's more of a watch dog now, totally recognized me! Her new owner said she'd never seen her so excited to see anyone! She never left my side the entire time! I still had no place for here, so I had to say goodbye again, but I still go back and visit!

it would be very quick because dogs somehow do remember their previous owner. I have yet to meet a dog that could not remember people who regularly visits them or is their previous owner for some time.
Dogs don't get heart broken unless the previous owner spoilt her. for the first week maybe she will cry but after that she'll be alright.

She will be sad to be shuffled between two owners but if she recieves alot of T.L.C i'm sure that she will feel right at home. She might remember you're smell but maybe not you're face or voice. She will soon grow to trust you again, just like when you get a new pet they have to learn to trust you.

Yes, most definitely, she will remember you, and it will be hard for her at first, but just give her a lot of love, pet her often and speak to her, she'll be fine after about 2 to 3 weeks, don't worry about it, just get her some favorite toys and treats, or better ones, than what she had before, lol (she'll love you for it)
She will remember you, but if you didn't visit her often, it will take longer for her to get used to you, at least she won't be entirely unfamiliar with you.
Best wishes.

She will remember you. Ask for her dog bed, or something that she sleeps on. Items that make her comfy which already have her scent will help make her like she has a safe spot in the new home.
We foster dogs, and have seen dogs come visit our adoption fairs years later after being adopted and get wildly excited when seeing me, or my husband. They remember.

If you were close to your pet, your scent should still be familiar to it. The environment may confuse it for a time, but giving it lots of attention and talking to it should bring back memories. Yes, animals have memories as much, if not more than humans do. Just take your time, and give it lots of love.

Your dog WILL remember you, from your appearance, scent and voice. I can relate to your question as I have grown very attached to my mums dog over the past year. However I'm going to have to leave her behind one day, and occasionally visit her (the dog) as and when I can, so I'm hoping that she remembers me too.

Yes, she will remember you. I knew a dog that had not seen me in 3 years, by that time she was completely blind and deaf. I put my hand in front of her face so she could smell me, and she danced around like there's no tomorrow! She knew who I was, she would not have been that excited for just anyone.
Dogs adapt pretty well, and she should settle in rather quickly because she knows you. When she gets to your house, ignore her (unless she gets so excited you can't keep her off you!) don't speak to her or touch her and let her settle in before you greet her. She will be fine.
