I don't beat up the country, I beat up the aristocracy that runs our country. If you ask me, our leaders have beat our country to a pulp, we are black and blue and will take years to recover.

It is this very discourse that makes America great. In other countries people are not free to protest, argue against, or replace the government. What you need to recognize is that most of what you are seeing is not saying that the USA itself is bad, but what we as a nation are doing. Because like it or not, as all the government does is represent and express the thoughts, desires, and needs of its people. So if someone says they are ashamed of what we are doing domestically or abroad, it's because they don't feel that the government is representing what they want. And as much as you have a right to say "Love America or leave it", the next person has the same right to say "We as a nation are doing something wrong". There is always a better way to be doing things, so don't be so certain that we are always right 100% of the time.

I think all Americans should question their leaders.I know that I do at times.I want to make sure that my vote
is going to go to someone who can affect positive
change, rather than some career politician, content with preserving the status quo.
As for the foreigners who seem to enjoy making
base generalizations about us Americans,I say"Fooey to you." You have no sense of gratitude not only for America but toward your own countrymen.
Jesus, there seems to be no room for debate in this country anymore. There is no respect for differing viewpoints.Everyone erroneously believes that we as a nation can prosper under these conditions of such poor communication and segregation.
Americans are allowed to beat up on their country
as long as they VOTE actively. Those who don't should shut up.
As for the radicals on our shores who despise us;
(And I'm not talking about healthy debaters here)
Again,"Extra fooey to yooee, and move to somewhere
more hospitable to your viewpoints.Simple.Everyone
got their juice and their seatbelts on?Wonderful. Are all you kids happy?Good.
Let's go to Disneyland®
The greatest place on Earth.

I've argued with and those types before. They seem to be like the chattering classes. They'd spend all day complaining and whining about the little things like spoiled brats, but when I asked them "why don't you go to Sweden for the socialized health care if you love it so much?" The guys are silenced for while, but never for long. They always have a big mouth of whole to tell.

Yes it's free speach. But how far is too far? Was the leaking of tactics we use to help us in the fight against terrorism by the New York Times just a matter of free speach? Is calling our president "Hitler like" by a U.S. senator the use of constructive free speach? If president Bush commited half the things the libs accuse him of wouldn't he have been impeached by now? It is one thing to disagree with him but a far different thing to use free speach to start a hate club in America against a good man who is trying to do a hard job in a time of war. And I think the far left libs who run the now democratic party are doing this not for the good of the country but for their own political gain. Is that really how free speach was meant to be used?

Some say it is an American right. Don't kid yourself if an outsider attacks Americans, they join together and the most patriotic people, case in point; Attack on World Trade Center, and you can still hear Americans cussing Al Qaida.

Some of us demand better than we are getting from our government and also like the idea of accountability. All the other countries got great t-shirts with the countrys logo or a bumper sticker but we demand more!
