my son is Bipolar..it has helped him and he takes medicine for this. For some people it does help them yes. It really does a world of good! There are some people that even therapy can not help though. I am a nurse (RN), and I also had a close friend to kill himself at the age of 22. No one could help him (we all tried). So, for some...I think they can go over the edge. OR, we just do reach them in time to commit them to prevent them from harming themselves like Donavon did to himself. (He shot himself in the head on Thanksgiving day).
But my son...he is ALLOT better..he is stable.

I tried going a few times and I decided some things are better left corked up. I felt worse after I went, so I stopped going.

I'm sure it's beneficial to some people, I was not one of those people.

I went for a month, I feel that it was very helpful. When I go to work, I also find that very theraputic too. I work at a gym and I really enjoy having "adult time" and listenig as well as talking to the other mothers at the gym.

That is dependent on the therapist you go to and you. Your therapy is only as good as the therapist and whether or not you put into the therapy. You only get what you put into something.
