go to www.limewire.com and download the application limewire. you will be able to download almost any song (it is a peer to peer network). you will also be able to share songs. it is absolutely free, but there is some legal sway about the program. it is a bit buggy, but you do get free music.
you can also try www.yourmp3.net. this site has a lot of music, but some of the essential tunes are missing. i hope this helped you. good luck!!

There are plenty of free sites/software for "free" music. However, it's illegal, stick with Itunes

I hear napster is free again but I know you can get free downloads from limewire.
