First it all depends if your a woman or a man. Personally speaking as a woman with a private piercing, its great. I've also worked in a tattoo and piercing shop and seen many private parts pierced. For a man, it could be for extra stimulation, or just for show. Usually the man is pierced through the hole and off to the side. Depending on the guy and his tastes, he can choose what gage(size of hole) and jewelry. As a woman with a clit piercing, it adds extra stimulation to that private button. I personally got gold jewelry, not the fake stuff, because who would want fake stuff in that area? And no I don't set off metal detectors. I also like the look of it, personally. But I'm a woman who likes to adorn my body. It also serves the purpose of a great orgasm, with little or no effort. Example, walking up or down a set of stairs with tight pants on. Or crossing my legs. It also helps give quick orgasms, when the man is lacking, or a quickie. I feel that by you saying piercing is ridiculous, makes you extremely short sighted, and that you have a closed mind. Men and woman get extreme pleasure with genital piercings. Ive never had it ripped off or out. And Ive never got an infection. Keeping that area of the body is important to keep clean anyway, and those who don't, do run the risk of infection.

As a matter of fact I think its crazy. Like women getting this chest pierced, and their belly buttons pierced would certainly be a big screw up for them when it comes to pregnancy and kids and that later on stuff. But for guys, I think you males got it good. You guys/boys would be pretty fine. Maybe not for the rod down there, but other words be on the safe side and do not get one. lol

No a lot of my friends have it. I would probably get it too if I had enough courage to do it. They say that it makes sex better and stimulates them.
