If it is a titanium Powerbook G4, it uses the classic airport card. You need a torx screwdriver to remove the bottom lid, the card fits in a metal cage aligned atop the pc card slot, you can spot it because it will have a small cable to connect the card to the antenna.
If it is an Aluminum Powerbook G4, then it uses Airport Extreme. It is a much smaller card. Remove the battery, there is a slot to install the card in there.
You can also buy a usb clone of either of these cards. You can find those on eBay and cost almost the same as a used card.

Your PB G4 should have Airport Extreme built in. Go to System Preferences go down to Network and click on Airport Card. If it doesn't (unlikely) Macsales.com should have some.
