I am 5'6,, but i look taller, because i have long legs. I stopped wearing heels a little while ago, becaue i always got the feeling that i was much taller than everybody else. I am in a community where everyone seemd to be pretty short. Do you think it would look bad to see a woman That was that talll wearing heels? Does this make me conspicuous. I am in a college were a lot of my friends wear the cutest shoes, and i feel that i can't because of my height disadvantage.

i knw exactly how u feel. i`m 5`9 and i have always been at lest 3 inches taller then my friends or classmates(girls wise and sumtimes boys) but wen these platform boots came in style and i wanted one my mom got me them and wen ppl said she is already to tall , she said shut up if it makes her feel good then that is all i need to hear ...point is if it makes u feel good then yea go on ahead (we`ll do them together) but not to the extent that u wear high heels everyday

How high a heel are you talking about? If you are wearing shoes with a two inch heel,then you would look very good indeed! Also do not think that you have a disadvantage because you are tall. I am 5'9" tall. I would love to hold you in my arms because I could look into your eyes! Buy a pair of really cute shoes and have lots of fun. Just be confident about yourself. Confidence is sexy.

Are you kidding? Don't let the munchkins bring you down! Wear your high heels with pride. Why care what everyone else thinks? Tall women who are proud of their height - heels or no heels- are sexy! This 5'7" chick loves wearing heels and I could care less if I'm taller than my friends. I think it's kind of cool, actually. :)

Hey girl i know how your feeling. I'm 5"10 and i used to NEVER wear heels until i realized i should be pround of my height! Now i wear heals alot! Don't worry about your height! Honey, men love long legs. And 5'6" isn't that tall for a grown woman. So I say wear whatever shoes you want. And if they make your legs look super long, then flaunt it. I'm sure the other girls will be jealous.

Tall women are the best - be proud of who you are and wear want you want. As long as you feel good about yourself, who cares what any negative person might think???
I'm 6'6", and while I avoid wearing heels :) I don't hide my height. Have fun!

ok im 5"6 and im 13! i think im to tall for heels soo i wear 1-2" wedges they look ok! or flats they are in right now sooo buy sum flats w/ really cute rinestones and sequines or they make sum really cute ones with a belt buckle thing in front those are sooo cute! i know wut ur think y do i need help from a 13yr old my advice has been used by sum celebs like Vanessa Anne Hudgens Miley Cyrus and a lil bit by Nichole Riche!

Aw, it's ok. 5'6 isn't THAT tall. you're average.
especially if you're in college...
you should feel cooler.
maybe if you were like super skinny and you had super long legs it might look a little weird.. but from what you stated, it sounds okay.
