Yeah, my friend dropped his in the toilet and fished it out and left it on the dash of his car and a week later the lights went on and it started working again! Can you believe that? Personally, I would have left it in the pot and bought a new one - it was a public restroom, by the way. EEEWWWWWWW!!!!

Yes, I've had them work again. Open the case, take out the battery, and use the hair dryer on low to try to evaporate out the water before it has a chance to corrode things up. After you are sure it's dry, put the face plate back on, slip the battery in and press power...if you are lucky you will hear the little welcome tune.

Take out the sims card too.

It will work fine - as a weight for your deep sea fishing gear!

But seriously, I hope thisisuandme is right about it drying out after a while. It's tough to go a week without a phone, though...

I got mine to work after a couple of days but took mine completely apart and let it dry.

try dismantling it and use a blow dryer (on low or cool temp) on it to dry it out. then see if if works.
