You need a talent agent. Later, if you make it big, then get a manager.

Many children and beginner actors have managers. It is easier to get management representaiton than agency representation. Agents and Managers work together for their client, the actor.
Ask your acting teacher for the names of talent managers in your city.

For a number of years in New York, it has been common for actors to work with managers and an agent. I had a manager, not an agent. I have been in the industry many years.

Are you a working actor? Are you a very busy working actor? Is your schedule so full that you need to hire someone to manage your schedule for you? If so, then you need a manager....

If you are not that busy, you need an agent to help find you work. To find an agent, you need to be an actor. You need to have the ablility to show him what you can do... you need to be able to show him that you have a talent he can sell to producers. If you don't have anything he can sell, he doesn't have any need to act as your agent, and will tell you so.

Are you a actor, or do you just want to be and actor?
