What is wrong with my laptop, and how can I fix it?

it sounds like there is a problem with the screen, take it in to be looked at it could just be the settings but at 7 yrs old you may need to replace it.

The liquid crystal exhibit exhibit screen easy is commencing as much as furnish out my HP workstation did that and the sometime i could no longer see something it would not go black in case you placed it in direct easy you will see the exhibit screen continues to be on in simple terms no longer lighted.

the screen is bad. You will need to get it fixed.

theres no way to fix it sorry,thats a line of dead pixels.
well you could contact dell and ask them if theres a way to fix that.
