I also am very tall but not fast and it's hard to run a quarter mile. So I'm thinking i should play another sport. Should I?

Listen to coach, his job is to help you improve. The best place I've found for a new player is Midfield. You basically play some attacking and some defense, and you have a line of attackers ahead of you and a line of defenders behind. If you mess up, the players behind can support you. A lot of people think that defense is the place to hide the weaker players, but think of it this way, if you play strictly defense the only time you'll touch the ball is when their attacker is trying to score, and if you make a little mistake it can be costly. As you get more experience and learn what your strengths and weakness are, you can ask coach if you can play another position.

I was in the same position as u were. I think being defender was the best cuz u dont wanna hurt the team by missing goals..but its a good position to start if u wanna brush up on ure passing ball handleing ect. IF u are defenseman try to be agressive and win the ball..if the coach sees ure potential hell probably shift u around

If you are tall and not afraid of the ball rushig towards you, maybe you should try as a goalkeeper. You'll have to work hard on your reflexes, but at least during the game you needn't sprint to and fro

you need to try all of the position, if you are fast you can be a forward player and if you are tall you can be in the back
